Taj Mahal - San Jose

We were thrilled to discover a high-quality Punjabi restaurant located very close to our hotel. Despite being in the country club area, the prices are comparable to average restaurants in the States. However, the quality of the food is exceptional. The vindaloo was both rich and delicate, and the beef was incredibly succulent. Be sure to try the various chicken Tikka appetizers, as they are sure to impress. Our server was welcoming and attentive, without being intrusive. Although we declined dessert, he surprised our daughters with two ice cream sticks drizzled with rose syrup, much to their delight. As we left, we noticed they also offer a lunch buffet, which we plan on trying out tomorrow. Can't wait to return.

We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we visited twice during our six-day stay in the area. If you are close to the airport and enjoy Indian cuisine, make sure not to overlook this gem. It is truly exceptional.

The food was delicious. One thing to note is that rice is not included with the main dishes, especially for takeout. The flavors were on point. However, the vegan roti was dry and not recommended. The prices are a bit steep for the portion sizes.

This restaurant is excellent. There are a variety of vegan options available, as well as dishes that are free of added fats.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic! The portions were generous and the waitstaff was incredibly attentive. They offer a vegetarian section on the menu and clearly mark gluten-free and lactose-free options.
