Alone I've ordered mussels, which were good, and fried octopus, that was superb and I've ordered again with friends. There were many dishes to share and most were very tasty except ravioli that did not look nor taste like it. I would still recommend seafood though! Staff is nice as well
I can only say that it was average, but if you want to try traditional Maltese dishes, you can try it. The fish cakes and fish soup were good, but the main course of pan fried rabbit was so dry and salty that I had to keep drinking water. The portions were quite large and the serving was slow.
Ate here on a Weekday for dinner. I wanted my wife and I to experience authentic local cuisine which I think we did. They gave us a generous serving of table bread with butter and Tomato paste however the crust tasted burnt. We ordered the crumbed goats cheese, rabbit liver with honey balsamic vinegar, pig and grilled rabbit with garlic and olive oil. The goats cheese dish was pleasant. First time eating any sort of rabbit. The liver had a nice texture however tasted a bit dry. The honey and balsamic vinegar that accompanied it was 5/5. The pig was 5/5. The flesh was tender and the crackling was cooked perfectly. There just needed to be some sort of sauce. First time eating rabbit. It was a tad dry. The garlic was okay but I wish I had it with the honey and balsamic. Nice touch at the end was when they threw in some generous servings of nice desserts.
Tasty food, quick and friendly service. Came here based on reviews for good Maltese food. 2 mains: rabbit stew and lamb, cheese starter, fries and bottle of wine was €67. The portion of fries were disappointingly small. Whilst a bit on the expensive side, it is in a touristy area but the flavours were great. We even got to try some traditional Maltese desserts, fig pastry and date ice cream.
Second time visiting after 11 months… It blew me away again. Not just the food but the hospitality if this place is amazing. Definitely worth a visit. Warm (goat) cheese rabbit stew: meat wasn’t fantastic but the sauce was crack complimentary dessert based on figs
