(This restaurant only allows two credit cards per table so that they do not share cheques). A little uncomfortable, but I understand. The waiter has provided excellent service, which is a great point of sale for me. About half of my group ordered seafood and the other half ordered Italian. The pasta was hit and miss. Some people ordered lasagna. My sister told me something and to be honest, it needed something. The sauce was brownish, but I felt it needed some spices. Linguine al pesto was good, but I like my pasta more al dente. Not the best I ever had, but a solid 4 out of 5. You just have to be more careful when placing, so it sees more fine food and less olive garden. The Calamari was beautiful and crisp (not chewing) and the fish and chips of my husband were excellent. (I snuck a piece and the beer batter was super crisp and crisp). Probably some of the better fish and chips I cost. Tiramisu was on the menu, so I tried. It's a real tiramisu with lady finger and not layer cake. Overall, this was a good experience to come with my family. I don't mind coming back for seafood.
We visited this place last weekend and had expectations for delicious food, as I was not wrong about it. I tried several fish restaurants. The service was good, but the food was uneven. While we liked the cocktail and crab cake, the rest of the order did not meet the bill. My son likes Ravioli and never heard he complained about it. He left the food after trying a few. Sea Bass was Bland and salad didn't taste fresh. Do not try to order Chowder in place. In the end, we wanted more. Looks like others have had good experiences in the past. It's possible it wasn't my day.
Something special for our first night in San Francisco at Swiss Louis, which was opened in 1936. I'm not the seafood fan, but my partner is, and this place had something for both of us. The restaurant is located at Pier 39, above and at the end, stylish and has a beautiful view over the bay to Sausalito and the Golden Gate Bridge. Menu is extensive with a lot of variety. We had the fried mozzarella sticks and my partner had the damped shells and shells. Frankly, the mozzarella sticks were disappointing. Served on a plate of shredded salad, it did not look very appetizing and I expected more of such a high caliber restaurant. The mussels and mussels were served in a delicious broth and seafood perfectly boiled. For the main course I had the #fettuccinealfredo, which was a good portion size, but a little dry. A drop of olive oil? ve has made the texture smooth and added more taste. My partner had the sharp crab enchiladas. We ordered both Margherita cocktails. See photographs how stunning they looked. Better. The wine menu is huge and celebrates local wineries. There are also outdoor restaurants that are well decorated with Geranium shrubs around the seat. Disability access well. Dietaries can be supplied. Children's menu and high chairs available. Prices are not cheap. The service was excellent and staff quickly, efficiently and friendly. Finally, the view over the marina over the bay, when the sun began to sit, was mesmerizing. If for no other reason, it is worthwhile for the views.
Not recommended. Overpriced and under delivery. Garlic bread was recommended to us, and it was microwaved, cured instantly seafood platter tasted even as it was made in the morning and then sat in the refrigerator, the view was the only positive in this restaurant
The food was DELICIOUS. The service was quick and awesome. There was little to no wait for a table. The views were incredible. A little higher priced but considering all of the above, it was worth it. Would go again next time I'm at Pier 39.
