Great show, and there was air conditioning strong ventilation radiated along the walls of the performance room, so the complaints here about the theatre can be a thing of the past. But the pre-show and intermission music was awfully loud. I wore earplugs, and I'm sleeping in my ears a day later. It was painful and made conversations while waiting for the show to begin difficult. There is no reason that the music is so loud. Would you shut it down, please? And thank you for getting rid of the convenience fee for tickets!
I love this bar, but I had a terrible experience today that tended to leave a review. I was at the bar with two double vodka soda and a vodka-red bull, not very complicated drinks... and an older blonde lady poured our drinks, calculated us $63 and I tipped $5 on the tab. Almost 10%, but granted it for three quite simple drinks. She decided to call me in front of the bar as I didn't tip enough. Not only was I embarrassed and ashamed, but I felt like my $5 wasn't appreciated, so I pulled $5 more out of my pocket and left it on the bar for them. As a former bartender, if you get a bad tip, take it and move on not shame the person to leave you all. I saw the same bartender later at night and she went on this way to shave me for my tip when we had built up and moved on. Please listen to me loud and clear, for pouring out three basic vodka drinks, you should NOT expect a crazy high tip to begin, even if someone asks for a double (hold the bottle for two extra seconds when pouring a drink). Regardless of the top, the director was all wrong, and you should never give someone a tip that's voluntary. This bartender made me and my party felt very unwilling. It does not deserve any place in the service sector for this unprofessional behaviour. Love this bar, but that was rough. Please PLEASE let your servers know this message!
Back to the day of this nightclub was a gay bar with a swimming pool, most likely under the seating area in front of the stage where Burlesque, Drag
Wow, I remember when this was Hamburger Mary's! I have to go. Who knew this was one of the Bath Houses! I knew the one down the street from me used to be a messenger bar but before that it had a dungeon where boys burned alive at Bloodhound formerly Cassidy's Bar. Long live Folsom Gulch. My 2nd fave neighborhood is SOMA!
