Lower the volume on your music and increase the distance between tables; it feels like you're almost sitting elbow to elbow with the next table. It's not exactly a relaxing place to enjoy dinner. As for the food, it was nothing special—perhaps they had a new cook or maybe it just wasn't their night. The locals seem to enjoy it, which is great, but I think I’ll be checking out other pupusa spots in the neighborhood.
This Salvadorean restaurant is located in the Mission District and offers delicious food with prompt service. The menu is quite appealing. However, I found the music to be a bit too loud for my preference. The waitstaff, while a bit inexperienced, are very attentive, especially towards male customers. I dined here on two occasions and was overcharged both times by $20. I'm not sure how the tabs are calculated, but it's worth keeping an eye on yours! Please note that they only accept cash. Don't miss out on the pupusas and atol—they're absolutely fantastic. As for parking, you might find some street parking if you’re lucky.
My favorite Salvadorean spot in SF. I lived around the corner and frequently got the pupusas and soups. The place is bomb.Furthermore, I found it authentically Latam: the TV, background music and even the menu was in Spanish. And since the counter staff usually had limited English, I would always order in a bit of Spanish.
Authentic Salvadoran recipes. A favourite of the locals. Good food. Reasonable.
