You wouldn't think one of the best sushi places in a city known for its sushi to be at a walk up bar in a shopping mall, but here we are. Oma's staff makes this experience unforgettable both from an entertainment and a cuisine standpoint.
Pretty disappointing omakase experience given the price. The food portions were okay and general food quality was good. There were certain warm dishes that were actually prepared a bit earlier and sat out a bit so by the time it was served, it was lukewarm. The chef was not very clear and mumbled when talking about each course. The seats were seated very tightly that I was bumping arms with the party next to me. Our party of 4 was asked to tip 20% for some reason. The experience felt like an omakase in the $40-60 range, but definitely not $100+
Cute 8 seat omakase tasting menu inside the Japantown Plaza. There are 3 menus to choose from. Ordered some good sake too. The nigiris were very fresh and there was some cool appetizers too. I felt like I was in Japan again.Food: 5/5
We were excited and curious to try this place, but was disappointed by the food. The service was good, and the price is ok for the quantity of food, but if you want really good sushi you may want to look elsewhere.
