Mikkeller - San Francisco

I was thrilled to find out Mikkeller was very close to my hotel. I have been to their location in Iceland. I highly recommend checking that one out too, if you get the chance. We got a quick snack since we weren't that hungry and couple of beers. The fries were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Served with aioli and ketchup. The Mac and cheese had bacon in it and I would not recommend getting it. Bacon was fatty and over powered the Mac and cheese.

The restaurant itself was very clean, featuring a spacious layout with plenty of seating, and I absolutely loved the large neon sign. The food was delightful! We started with the Chongqing wings, which were incredibly tasty and crispy. For my main course, I chose the Mac n Cheese, which arrived in a skillet and tasted just as wonderful as it looked—creamy, cheesy, and served piping hot! The beer selection was also impressive. I tried two of their wild ales and sours, with the Deep Puddle Dynamics being my favorite. However, I do wish they offered flight options for more of their beers on tap. Most of the choices were available only in bottles or cans, which you could order, but you had to buy a whole bottle or a four-pack of cans to enjoy at the table. I would have preferred the option to sample a fresh pour or do a tasting. Overall, it was a great experience!

Really yummy spot for an afternoon drink and snack! We were there in the early afternoon so it was pretty empty and we had really great service. Loved the burger, it wasn't too big and hit the spot for lunch/dinner combo. The fries were crispy and just right! I tried a kettle sour and one other sour that were both quite tasty. I'd go back here!

Awesome vibes. There is plenty of seating and the staff of attentive to all tables. This hole in the wall has 40+ beers on draft. I also tried the popular Nutmeg Mead. It was really chill and laid back, a great place for friends to hang and drink without feeling crowded.

So sad this place closed. Amazing service and drink selection. Low-key and comfortable atmosphere. Hope they open again!
