Mara's Italian Pastries - San Francisco

My partner and I are visiting San Francisco from Australia, and we discovered Mara’s while walking back from dinner last night. I ordered the pumpkin pie, and I can confidently say it was the best pumpkin pie I’ve ever had—I've only tried two in my life! Please consider opening a location in Melbourne, Australia!

Walking into this charming gem tucked away in the backstreets of San Francisco felt like a return trip to Italy. The air was filled with the delightful scents of fresh pastries and strong coffee. These pastries seemed to be crafted by Nonna herself, offering melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness in generous portions. And the pecan pie? It was irresistibly rich and sticky—absolutely incredible!

A visit to Mara's delights every one of your senses! So many gorgeous, delicious options that you need to visit several times. It's great to pop in for a treat when you're out on the town.

Great cheese danish!. We ordered a cream filled croissant of sorts. It was ok. But the cheese danish was awesome. Finally, a bakery that puts plenty of cheese in the cheese danishes. I can't tell you how many places have too much pastry and not enough cheese. Really enjoyed our purchase from here, will have to try some more pastries from them in the future!

The chocolate covered cream puffs will change your life. Love it.
