They also offer several soups along with rice and noodle dishes. If you prefer a set menu, they have prix fixe options for $62.25 or $82.75, which are suitable for two to three people. Juban isn’t an upscale establishment, but it's a delightful venue for casual celebrations, like birthdays. I appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the adorable plastic dinnerware and utensils for kids (my daughter was thrilled to get a Winnie the Pooh set), a small bucket of ice to keep my sake chilled, and wet napkins provided at the end of the meal. A couple of standout dishes include the miso salmon ($9) and sea scallops ($11). Interestingly, the beef tataki ($7.50) is best when cooked on the grill; it enhances the robust ginger flavor and makes the meat more tender. The onmen ($7.50), a hot somen noodle dish with egg, spinach, and shiitake mushrooms, seems to be a hit with younger diners, but the beef broth proved too mild for my preschooler, who preferred the grilled items over rice. On the night we visited, they were out of lobster tails, so my son chose the rib eye ($9.50) instead and was very satisfied with it. He also ordered green tea mochi for dessert, but since it wasn't available, he opted for green tea ice cream ($3), which he enjoyed. They offer premium Wagyu beef, which we plan to try on our next visit.
