Cheese Plus - San Francisco

I love this place. Amazing assortment of cheeses and wonderful hand crafted sandwiches. The staff are friendly and amazingly knowledgeable. Little independently owned shops like this need to be supported to keep San Francisco unique. There really is a difference between shops like this and the big corporate stores.

Love the walk up coffee and sandwich bar. Lots of outdoor seating to stay and eat lunch. Coffee was decent, and the caprese sandwich was delicious. Bread is extremely high quality. Overall a fun, quick lunch spot.

Great place for breads and charcuterie needs. Sandwiches are pretty good too!

This store is seriously so cute. Stopped here to get a coffee. Everyone was friendly and the coffee was pretty good. I'd come back.

It’s nice to have a fine food shop in my own neighborhood. That’s what Cheese Plus is to me. I can stroll over and find products from all over the world. Charcuterie, condiments and sweets. But where this place shines is the cheese selection of course. You can approach the cold case or refrigerated section and pick up what you want. You can get advice from the cheese staff based on your taste. Or the shop can compose a cheese platter for your home or for a gift. They also have a Cheese of the Month club and can ship anywhere in the country. Choices, choices. I often stop by because CP does nicely composed sandwiches; has a coffee takeout window; and sells tasty pastries from local bakeries. You could almost say this shop is a triple plus! The owner told me today Cheese Plus has been here in Russian Hill for 15 years! Wow! For the quality, variety and family-like ambiance, let’s give it our support.
