I wouldn't say it was bad, but it certainly didn't resemble Kobe beef. The cauliflower had a bit of raw flour in the center, though they did remove that from my bill. The pork jowl arrived frozen solid, and the scallops were just bland, almost rubbery. If we hadn't been so hungry and unable to find another restaurant that wasn't packed on a Friday night in San Francisco, we probably would have left. Plus, we needed a place to settle down and get some work done. And definitely avoid the corn on the cob — it could easily explode in your face. On the positive side, the service was excellent, and the ambiance and food presentation were impressive.
I had an amazing experience at a BBQ restaurant in San Francisco. The host was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain all the different types of meat on the menu. Since I was dining alone, I opted for the kalbi chuck, ox tongue, squid, and a mix of vegetables. The portion sizes were perfect for one person, and everything was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the meat and vegetables!
The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the staff was incredibly friendly. There were plenty of options to choose from, and the ambiance was fantastic. I will definitely return and highly recommend it!
So happy to find this place. We didn't want to wait in line at Brother's Korean BBQ. This place is awesome! It's comparable to the Yakiniku restaurants I ate in Tokyo. The dark wood interior was cozy, classy yet casual. The food was excellent, the staff were all super nice and polite, and it was surprisingly very reasonable for the food quality! For meat lovers and vegetarians this place is great. We got the ribeye, fillet mignon, kobe toro, kalbi jin and scallops. Even the crispy calamari was so good! To top off our meal we had s'mores which we assembled and cooked in front of us. Japanese yakiniku is a fun meal option for kids, families and friends! I will be coming back and bringing more family and friends! 5 stars!
Food was ok, got the Kobe amusement platter, kurobuta sausage, duck breast, and skirt steak. To be super honest, the meat slices were pretty small for the price. None of the cuts really stood out besides the sausages lol. Waitress was super nice though and environment was chill
