Bask - San Francisco

The value for money of the tapas at this restaurant was disappointing. We ended up paying over 50 USD per person for a small amount of food. While tapas are typically small portions, the high price we paid did not match the quantity or quality of the dishes. In comparison, other restaurants like Picaro offer tapas of similar quality but at a larger portion and a lower cost (14 USD at this restaurant vs. 10/11 USD at Picaro).

We stumbled upon this hidden gem by chance. One of the highlights is their Spanish Mourvedre wine selection. Even better, they offer a dedicated section of vegetarian dishes on the menu. We tried several and all were fantastic, but the standout was the vegan lamb meatballs. I was impressed by their texture and flavor, which differed from typical meat substitutes. The dessert choices and presentation were also excellent, although I deducted a star for the strawberry sauce that didn't quite complement the chocolate lava cake.

This restaurant served one of the best meals I've had in San Francisco. We couldn't get a reservation at one of the fancier restaurants in the area, so we ended up here and we're grateful we did. The goat cheese and shrimp dishes, along with the lamb, were absolutely delicious.

Had a meal here last week while in San Francisco on holiday from the U.K. Food was lovely with portion sizes just right?.not piled high but not small either. The atmosphere was very relaxed?it seemed to be a place people went to meet up with friends.There was lots of laughter around us?a lovely place to eat relax. Staff were very friendly, didn?t rush us to leave but leftus to enjoy our food at our own pace, checking in on drinks and that we were ok. A lovely place and one I would go back toregularly if I lived in San Fran.

Amazing eating, amazing service and a beautiful and well maintained owner! we were in a quick trip to sf to relax and are even professed food. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Spanish restaurant with reservations! after tasting this food, I am am amazed that they had opened. we ordered various tapas to share, paella and dessert. the owner helped us to couple wein and beer with our directed. that's what I love. amazing eating with a personal experience. we will come back every time we visit the city
