Shake Shack First National Building Downtown Detroit

Shake Shack is an exciting and surprisingly delicious choice for snacks, dinner, or a quick bite between errands. The app makes ordering incredibly easy and straightforward. You can place your order as you park, and it should be ready for pickup by the time you arrive. I tried the cookie butter shake, and it was fantastic! It had everything I wanted: sweet, salty, crunchy, creamy, and just delightful. I felt like I was in milkshake heaven! Additionally, the crinkle-cut fries were golden brown, perfectly salted, crispy, and served at just the right temperature. Overall, I was very satisfied with everything, except for the wait time, which could be improved. However, that concern quickly faded away as soon as I started eating, haha!

Everything was great! The burgers are on the smaller side, so you might want to order two, depending on how hungry you are. The fries were delicious, and the root beer float was perfect!

I had been looking forward to trying Shake Shack for a long time because I've heard so many great things about it. Unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing. I ordered a basic burger with bacon, lettuce, and tomato, even paying extra for those toppings. The bacon was hard and crunchy to the point where I almost broke a tooth! I could barely find the minuscule piece of wilted lettuce, and there was no tomato at all. The shake was subpar—definitely not in the same league as In-N-Out. The crinkle fries were bland and I couldn't even finish them, and I usually never leave fries behind! If you find yourself near Westfield in San Francisco, skip Shake Shack and head over to The Melt instead; it’s so much better!

The restaurant is located in the basement of the shopping mall, within the food court. Our order didn’t take too long to prepare. The burgers from Shake Shack were fantastic—definitely a satisfying choice for lunch!

The burger was just average and brought to mind a Wendy's single. It was on the small side. On the bright side, the fries were delicious, and the lemonade was quite refreshing. Unfortunately, I had to wait quite a while for the rather unimpressive burger.
