Ugh I love this place. I love this place so much that I’ll share my parking trick that’ll definitely negatively impact me, but the easiest place to park is funston Ave between anza and balboa, then you’ll have a 5 minute walk to get here.

Caliente did NOT disappoint – delicious! Ordered a regular burrito for lunch to go. Service was friendly quick. After a 2 ½ blocks walk home to start my lunch, the burrito was still temperature hot. The wrap was not your normal steamed wrap like most burrito joints, but very lightly grilled to give it that savory light golden brown texture. Ingredients were simple: rice, pinto beans, cheese and very generous portions of tender fresh braised chicken. Being a Gordo’s burrito loyalist, Caliente’s regular burrito was even LARGER than a Gordo’s Super Burrito. BONUS – free bag of chips 2 different salsa’s were included. I will definitely be back to try their different offerings. These are the types of small local owned businesses the community/city needs to frequent and rally behind: quality delicious food, value, very generous portions friendly service, what else can you ask for?

GO HERE!!! I can not stress this enough, their super burritos are 2 lbs of pure goodness and they have the most amazing fried chicken sandwich!
