Bluestone Lane Venice Beach Café

Another overpriced coffee shop in San Francisco. They earn extra points for their delicious muffins, but lose some for the high prices and pretentious service.

In a single word? Incredible! The toasts and coffee are superb. The staff is super friendly, and the place is spotless. A nice perk is that it's located right next to a hotel with a few great spots for selfies.

To our surprise, the two boxes we received had clearly been handled by someone else before being returned to us. There should have been no hesitation in remaking the food. We ordered an avocado toast and a salmon toast, both of which were completely cold—more like toast that had been prepared the night before. Instead of fresh food, we were given cold, soggy toast that had been in someone else's hands. I won't be coming back to this restaurant.

My favorite coffee shop in San Francisco, particularly for other South Africans, evokes cherished memories of home.

This is a fantastic place for breakfast! The croissants are delightfully flaky, the cappuccino is superb, and the avocado toast with prosciutto and poached eggs is truly exceptional. The decor is lovely as well! I rate it a perfect 10!
