Crowne Plaza - SAN DONATO MILANESE

My last visit here some two or three years ago was not a good affair. The service in general was not great bar one individual (see later) the rooms dated wifi slow etc. But wow what an improvement. The rooms have been modernised the wifi good and the staff much improved. Paul or English Paul in the bar/restaurant was again a shining beacon of excellence and professionalism. He remembered me from my last visit and though we arrived late still managed to get us some food and made sure we were looked after. Fantastic and thank you. To say I we not looking forward to staying here again is an understatement as my company still insists on sending us here but I will admit to being truly surprised at the overall improvements. I would be happy to stay here again.

The ambience is quite nice and professional. There is a place for fast breakfast and room for lunch. Service is professional style.

It's large business hotel. I have been upgraded, room was large with spacious bathroom. Room decoration was modern and clean. I had a room facing motorway. Windows weren't good isolated, I heard traffic all night. Bar and restaurant area are in large open hall. It was just too large, all connected together with reception hall. Not very welcoming. Staff was efficient and friendly. Hotel is located in the middle of office park, with large companies around. There's very little to do outside. No bars, restaurants etc. So if you have a business meeting, it's very good location (it's also close to Linate airport). It was OK for one night, but I wouldn't stay there unless having a meetings around.

Nice hotel, friendly desk staff. A bit of a walk from San Donato metro, but not bad. Good shuttle to the airport. The one minus was the bar staff. We were given vouchers for free drinks by the desk receptionist, these were clearly stated that we could have an alcoholic or none alcoholic drink, he repeatedly told us it had to be alcoholic, and was quite defensive when I pointed this out. The upshot was we went without a drink. Good breakfast but the chocolate cake was dry.

The hotel is conveniently located in the business district. Rooms are comfortable and the breakfast spread is good. The hotel staff are helpful.
