The Bangkok Poco - San Diego

Love this place! The cheapest drinks in San Diego and amazing food. Don't expect it to be quick, they totally understaff. But it's my favorite spot around the college for sure.

Food is mediocre. but $2 beers and $19 brew tour cannot be beaten. The staff is terrible slow at serving you so don't expect much.

I really enjoy their Bangkok Poco chicken fried rice, but it can be inconsistent. They ask how spicy you want it on a scale from 1 to 10, but it seems like they struggle to get it just right. If you're ordering takeout, be sure to check your food before leaving; I got home once to find that the fried rice was really mushy.

Upon returning, I've developed a new appreciation for how affordable this place is, especially for broke college students. After just spending a little, I felt completely satisfied and full.

The beer towers are worth it—everything else can be overlooked. However, I recommend calling ahead to make sure they actually have any beer available!
