The Amigo Spot - San Diego

The food and service were exceptional. The menu offered a wide variety of options. Our meals arrived quickly and were served hot! The atmosphere was enjoyable, and it wasn't very crowded during our visit.

We’re currently staying at King’s Inn and had dinner here on our first night, coinciding perfectly with Taco Tuesday! The tacos were only $4 each, and they were quite generous with the meat, making them very filling. I particularly enjoyed the red and green sauces along with the grilled pepper that accompanied my tacos. I ordered both pollo and carne asada, and I must say the carne asada was my favorite. The entire staff was extremely attentive and accommodating, and I appreciated the charming decor of the restaurant. Plus, if you’re staying at the hotel, you get a 20% discount on your bill, which is a nice bonus. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience here, and the rice and beans were delicious too—especially the smoky flavor of the beans. Definitely good eats!

We enjoyed dishes inspired by Cuban and Brazilian cuisine, and I must say, Amigo Spot was the only place where the atmosphere allowed for a nice conversation. The food was outstanding—possibly even better than other options in the area—and the staff was both friendly and efficient. If you're staying nearby, there's no need to deal with traffic when you can enjoy such great meals right here. And if you're a local, it's definitely worth a visit!

I've been visiting Amigo Spot for nearly 10 years. We decided to go on Taco Tuesday with our friends, and we had a fantastic time. The street tacos are among the best in San Diego, with delicious options like al pastor, carne asada, suadero, and pollo, to name a few. After our tacos, we enjoyed some refreshing ice cream. The service was impeccable, and the food was incredible. We will certainly be returning to Amigo Spot!
