The bruschetta was a highlight with bold and bright flavors (although not photographed bc it went so quickly). The carni miste plate was generous, and every protein and vegetable was cooked to perfection! Spread the word... RoVino is a must visit when in San Diego!!
This was such a great experience for dinner. First the staff was absolutely phenomenal and very kind. The food was also extremely good, you could tell it was homemade and made with care. The ravioli’s were the best that I have had since I was in northern Italy. From the salad to the pasta dishes to the cannoli and pistachio cake for dessert, they were all so full of flavor and so well prepared. I will absolutely be back whenever I’m in town. It is now my new favorite place to eat in San Diego.
I recently had the opportunity to dine at RoVino Restaurant Bar in San Diego, and my overall experience was a mixed bag. While the ambiance and service were commendable, the quality of the food left much to be desired. To start with the positives, the Vegetarian Flatbread was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. The combination of fresh vegetables, flavorful sauce, and perfectly baked crust made this dish a delight for the taste buds. It was both satisfying and delicious, and I would highly recommend it to anyone, regardless of their dietary preferences.Unfortunately, the same level of praise cannot be given to the other dishes we ordered. The Bella Donna, touted as one of the restaurant's specialties, fell short of expectations. The flavors were lackluster, and the dish lacked the finesse that one would expect from a place with RoVino's reputation. It was a disappointing start to the meal. Moving on to the Sugo, it was an outright letdown. The dish was described as a hearty pasta with a rich sauce, but what we received was an unappetizing mess. The sauce tasted bland and seemed to be lacking in essential herbs and seasoning. One aspect worth mentioning is the pricing. The food at RoVino Restaurant Bar is quite expensive, and this could be justified if the quality of the dishes lived up to the cost. Regrettably, that was not the case for most of the items we ordered. On a more positive note, the service was attentive and friendly throughout our visit.
It was wonderful and not as crowded as India St service was great and liked being outside
Always one of my favorites in Little Italy. Consistent delicious, food and service! Love the new menu items.
