Fantastic little hidden sushi place. We don't always come to San Diego, but if we always make a goal to stop here. Your fish always tastes really fresh and the protein rolls are worth a try. Very recommended.
This is probably the best sushi spot I was at. Several friends who were stationed in Okinawa swear at this place, and although I'm a sushi philoster, I loved everything I had eaten here. It is small so that seating can wait a bit, but the staff is amazing and the food is second to none. Any role you get will be the best you have, maybe ever.
Our waitress was very patient and attentive. My 7-year-old says it's great! He loves sushi... My 5 years old ordered the teriyaki chicken child meal twice! She says I liked the rice with the delicious sauce. Your mother and I ordered the heart attack twice, it was the bomb! Jason Roll was new to me. Fish with spicy paprika on top and crab meat on the inside, it was ok. Cold Peach Saki was sweet and strong!!! I think 9 %. Strawberry Macaroon w/ green Cookie was so good. We ordered 7 reels plus the 2 children meals and drinks, I think we paid like $150 tips. Easy parking. All in all, my favorite place in North County SD.
This was our first time dining at Kyodai Sushi. We went for lunch and had the salmon bento box lunch special and the protein roll. Both dishes were outstanding! The tempura was fresh and crispy and the tempura sauce was the best I've ever had. Staff was friendly. The only kind of negative is that the tables outside are for the public, not associated with any of the many nearby eateries, so they don't serve outside. You have to order take out and they bring it to you. I don't care for the waste of packaging.... that said... We'll be back!
