Grandma Tofu And Korean Bbq - San Diego

The older staff member was wonderful. However, the younger worker told us she would get hot water and a separate bowl for the rice but only did so after we asked again. The restaurant wasn't busy, so I expected her to remember. The tofu soup was disappointing; it had very little substance and lacked flavor. The biggest issue was with the clay pot the rice was served in. It was in poor condition, with burnt flakes falling into my rice, which I had to pick out. This raises some serious health concerns.

The dolsot bibimbap with tofu was delicious! The service was pleasant, and parking was easy to find.

We ate here and gave a tip of $25 cash.. they still charged my card for a tip.. i felt disappointed because the food was really good.. i was about to give them 5 stars, but i felt robbed..

I was there having early dinner alone after work yesterday and had a bad experience. I asked a little more of a side dish at the end of my meal and the waitress seemed very upset about it and showed her contempt towards me. I felt so humiliated and embarrassed by her attitude and facial expressions. She also said that this will be my last refill of the side dish as she brought a little bit of that to me. I didn’t even asked for that much more side dishes while there. I will have to think twice before going back there again!

This is my first time coming to this location. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The food and the service is ok.The food here to grill yourself is expensive, minimum order to grill is 2 items and each item is over $29 per, not worth to come here and grill on your own. The food does taste good but pricey.
