OMG those lil guys are strong but so good! Completely loved the Carne Asada Benedict, with a side of banana pancakes. Overall 4 out of 5 Ohhh don't forget to try the Mango Michelada.
Garage kitchen and bar is located in Downtown San Diego in the Gaslamp district on 4th Avenue and Market, serving up bottomless mimosas and serving brunch until 3 pm!What better way to enjoy your Sunday funday than to enjoy mimosas with friends and experience 51% off happy hour all drinks and 3 dollars off small plates. I noticed the huge sign out front, and I just had to check this place out. I came through on a Sunday right before happy hour to enjoy the fine bubbly champagne with a splash of orange juice as well as a Harland Japanese lager on draft. For food, we had the Nashville spicy chicken sandwich and the chicken bacon ranch wrap. The sandwich was full of flavor with hints of spicyness from the cayene pepper. The coleslaw was cool and creamy while the bun was perfectly soft. The decor and ambiance inside had a nice and modern feeling. Inside, they had about 4 Tvs playing sports, and everyone inside seemed to be having a good time. Service was great, and the staff kept the drinks filled for the most part of the time. I'm looking forward to coming back again and trying some other brunch items like the biscuits and gravy or maybe even the famous cereal shots they have.
We visited Garage Kitchen Bar on a Friday afternoon and our party of 4 got seated right away with no reservation. The vibe inside was casual and kind of sporty TVs everywhere, exposed brick, lots of high top tables, etc. Our server came over right away with water and recommended the Rocket Man when I asked which cold brew cocktail was her favorite. I ended up ordering that as well as the Chilaquiles. The Rocket Man actually was pretty tasty and not too sweet, which I was worried about. The Chilaquiles were good too generous portion size, right level of spice. My friend also enjoyed her Cali Bacon Ranch Wrap, which was very large as well and came with plenty of fries. I ended up ordering an Aperol Spritz here too really well made and refreshing. Would return to try out their brunch!
So it is half of the space of the dueling bar. Busy sports bar type with a ton of beers on tap. Try the orange IPA. The bartender is amazing. Tatted wearing a skully, sit by them and laugh, feel like somebody and ask for recommendations. She's intelligent in her craft to give you the taste you are looking for. Let her surprise you! The wings. The WINGS the WINGS!!! The Beijing dry rub. Def brown sugar we can confirm. Have them fry em hard and thank me later. No sauce needed. And the poke nachos!!! Dare I say better than Yard House cause THEY ARE!!! Presentation on point and just friggin delicious. These two items for happy hour perfect to split between two. I didn't stay for dinner but imagine it would be great. Amazing staff in this friendly take your friends and chill, chat and shout it out!
