Civico 1845 - San Diego

A steak ordered “medium” came out completely rare. We sent it back. The cooks simply threw the pre-cut steak slices back on the grill and returned a disheveled looking plate with tough more than well done slices. No one returned to see if things were okay until it was check time. They seemed surprised we’d sat there 20 minutes not eating a thing. The meal was ultimately removed from our tab. The other entree had hair in the sauce but we did not complain. Just left it. We left the restaurant hungry and headed down the street for a carry out pizza. Very disappointed. We’d been looking forward to a special date night. I had fined here once before and had a nice experience. But I won’t return again. Too many other great choices to explore in Little Italy.

Food was good. Server was in turn and burn mode. How fast can I get these people out the door. Hard to enjoy.

Absolutely the best vegan Italian food I have ever had. The eggplant parm was to die for! Will 100% be returning the next chance I get.

We went to Civico to try the vegan menu and were not disappointed.. The food is fresh and delicious. Im still dreaming of the vegan mozzarella. It’s a very charming atmosphere and the service was great. We will definitely be returning.
