Bambino's Pizza - San Diego

Always trying to give family owned/small businesses our business, out here on vacation and found this gem. Not sure how big or small the company is but their pizza is hands down the best we've ever had! And we eat a lot of pizza.

Bambinos Pizza is super close to our new home, so I'm glad we loved the food! Their pizza looks exactly like the photos (very nicely presented with the sauce swirls The buffalo chicken pizza is AMAZING. I would get it every time if I didn't want to try new things. My latest order from there, I actually ordered through Yelp Their wings were pretty good. I believe they came in 2 different sauces (boyfriend got buffalo and I got BBQ). Buffalo looked very spicy, but BBQ was tasty! I don't normally use ranch for BBQ wings, but my boyfriend also didn't really like the ranch provided.. we got a few apps to go with the wings and both didn't disappoint! Mozz sticks and garlic bread were definitely a hit. The garlic bread looks a bit basic' on white toast, but they put alot of love (AKA garlic and cheese), so it did taste great! The service at the store is pretty nice. The guy that helped me out the first time spoke little english, but he was polite/professional. The second time picking up my yelp order- I wanted to pay in cash and we were a bit too early so we walked the store next door while we waited. In general, wait times are longer than the estimated times here, so expect an extra 5-10 mins on your order. When our food was finally ready, I didn't realize I did not even pay for my food until I was in my car. I had to run back in to give the girl the cash. She checked the paper work where it said it was UNPAID and apologized, but didn't thank me for returning.. I'll definitely come here again, but they should be more careful when allowing people to order food without paying up front!

Simple order or so I thought .. Ordered a chicken Cesar salad they used fried chicken which was over fried to the point it was almost too hard to eat..This is only the second time I've had a problem but I for one would prefer grilled chicken and not fried..

The food at this restaurant is excellent, and the customer service is top-notch. It can get quite busy at times, but that's only because they are so popular. Whether you choose to pick up your order or have it delivered, you can always count on their hardworking team to serve you with a smile.

I always order the small jalapeno and cheese pizza at this restaurant. It's always freshly made, with a great cheese pull and served hot every time. The wings are also consistently delicious and finger-licking good.
