We tried the fish and the prawn tacos which were both sensational.Fresh and delicious. A must if you like fish tacos
El Bony is a must when visiting San Cristobal. It's one of the best values of food in the city. The shrimp tacos are delicious. The marlin is very good and they make a great guacamole. For 50 pesos, you get three tacos and they are large and filling. Add a beer for 25 pesos and your in heaven. El Bony recently moved to a larger location with an indoor patio as well as an additional dining room. It's super casual. The offer great service surrounded by kitschy decor and if you're lucky you'll be treated to some live music.
If you are jonesing for pescado while in san cristobal this is a great choice. selections are varied and fresh.
Quick service, clean and high quality food, pairs great with an ice cold beer. One of my favorite spots. Great cost as well.
We found this restaurant by accident after reading a TA review and wondering where it was. It's quite near 2 art galleries we were looking for, and very near the steps up to Guadalupe Church. It is located on the left side of the street a half block off the Real de Guadalupe (after the andador has ended and become a regular street). The caldo de camarones comes in 2 sizes and has a great flavor and good selection of seafood that hasn't been overcooked. The fish tacos, 3 per order, were battered tilapia filets, fresh and crispy. The place was clean, service was prompt and efficient, and the food was cooked to order. We really enjoyed our meal. Plus, the tables were filled with locals who obviously knew a good thing. Prices were very reasonable. Closed Wednesdays; open 11:00 to 6:00, so good for lunch.
