We started with the Burrata Crostini, and it was spectacular! The balsamic glaze added a wonderful zing that elevated the dish from ordinary to exceptional. They serve a generous five pieces of bread, and we ended up taking two home. For his main course, my husband had the Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms. They came with six mushroom caps overflowing with sausage, vegetables, and cheese, baked to perfection and topped with what I believe was hollandaise sauce. They were delicious! I had the flat iron steak, which was topped with chimichurri and served on a bed of creamed corn, spinach, onions, and roasted chiles. Wow! I ordered it medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. The portion of steak was much larger than I expected, and honestly, it was one of the best cuts of meat I’ve had in a while—especially impressive, given that this place isn’t a steakhouse! We were too full for dessert, even though their options sounded tempting. I really enjoyed the wines I tried, especially the Pinot recommended by our waitress. My husband was pleased with the two beers he ordered. We don’t visit this area often, but I will definitely return the next time we're around!
My wife and I dined here last Friday and had a delightful evening. The wine selections were superb, thanks to Kim's expert recommendations. I highly recommend trying Chef Mario's Barnoa Salad—be sure to ask for extra pepitas!
Barnoa is a great, neighborhood spot for a glass of wine and dinner with a friend or larger event with a group of gals. The service is attentive and friendly; we have overstayed past closing time a few times and the staff puts up with us with a smile! The food is wonderful; favorite appetizers include the Brie fondue and charcuterie board with fresh bread, salads are tasty and the salmon with risotto is perfect. Barnoa has been a fun spot to visit for many years and the live music is entertaining, but can get loud inside. If you want the chance to talk freely, try the outside patio or newer side patio with extra space.
Played a round of golf in San Clemente and just stopped in at this super fun wine bar... Stumbled inside on a Thursday night. We were so pleased with the atmosphere, there was live music playing which was so refreshing and so nice. Wonderful selection of wines... We had the blackened salmon with kale and risotto and the delicious fresh gnocchi... we decided to sit at the bar as the breeze was so nice coming through the door. We will definitely be back soon....
