A bit on the expensive side, but it's worth it! We've been here since 2013! The ojo de bife comes with a beautiful salad, her chimi is amazing! The empanadas are to die, but a warning they are very juicy! The new salad with the scallops is amazing, the flavors are beautiful. I finally tried the salmon and was pleasantly surprised the skin is very crispy and the potatoes are like silk! Be sure to order again soon!
We loved the quirky, small restaurant ambience and friendly attention of the staff. However, we are appalled (and the experience completely ruined! by a lady who has led her loud cell phone conversation from the parking lot to the restaurant and once inside loud, do not stop, completely disturb the atmosphere and the pleasure of the entire environment. Even after the deception of the staff to ask this person to go after their call or to tell her to stop her infernal loud Yakking, the staff did nothing (apparently this person is known or something from a regular . The situation was so unbearable that we actually said that the staff was forced to go and stand outside until the lady ended her (total social, blah, chath, blah, blah. So we went outside. Another pair that eats next to us stopped her meal abruptly and left. After about 15 minutes, the staff came out and took us and led us back. The lady finally stopped talking only when the rest of her party arrived and normal restaurant atmosphere returned. I can only tell you that the food is wonderful, but if you go in and see someone on a phone, just turn around and go. The staff does not protect the surroundings of the restaurant.
Certainly one of the best meals and experiences we had in Argentina. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and medium rarely as we ordered it. Standout empanadas and a delicious bottle of house wine. Menu is short, but confident. Service was warm, friendly and English was perfectly spoken. The restaurant is small but incredibly comfortable. We visited Midweek at 8 o'clock without reservation. That meant we had only one hour of the table, but still incredibly welcome. I really wish we had made a reservation so we would have enjoyed the place a little longer. Thanks to La Salamandra Pulperia
Very good, but not the best meat we had in Argentina, meat was tender but cooked not as requested. Wine ok, should have a longer list.
