This is a sate kitchen the chefs are not trained to make Mediterranean food. The ingredients are not fresh and seem like there were frozen and then thawed. The Orens in Palo Alto is so good but I am amazed they are diluting their brand by lendingtheir name to such substandard food. The fafelel sandwich didnt have freshly cut cucumbers or tomatoes but a stale mix of cucumber, tomatoes and peppers. Sauces were barely used. Never ordering from this place again. @orens if iwere you iwould not sell this thing these people call fafalel as orens
Ive had my first bad meal from Orens in close to 10 years. The rice that arrive was weird and brown and fried, not basmati. The falafel was so salty. I gagged. Half the meal was inedible. Sidenote, I looked everywhere for utensils, and there was no option to include them and they didnt arrive. This is part of why many people order takeout.
I ordered a fattoush salad and what was delivered was a glorified large serving of cucumber salsa. No flavor, not even a trace of salt, and for $17 dollars?! I feel like this is poorly named, falsely advertised should NOT be named a fattoush salad.
I did not realize when ordering from DoorDash that this was not from the restaurant direct but was instead from Noshery. The tahini was congeiled, the chicken tasted like reheated rubbery chicken, and the rice was definitely not fresh.
