Yellowfish Sushi - San Antonio

The restaurant was overpriced, and the food was just average. Our server was friendly but inexperienced, which led to several things being left unexplained. My friend was charged for a roll she didn’t like, even though we were told it would be complimentary. As we were leaving, a female waitress confronted my friend about her tip, giving her an attitude and even scolding her. This establishment needs to improve; it’s perfectly fine for staff to say, “Let me check on that,” instead of making assumptions. Additionally, they charge for sauces without informing customers ahead of time.

The waitress displayed poor customer service and had an unpleasant attitude. I decided to take my business to Sushi Zushi instead. It offers a more relaxed atmosphere along with friendly staff. I go out to dinner to enjoy myself, not to be met with eye rolls and dismissive gestures. Service rating: 1/5.

I love getting sushi here and do not come often because its on the other side of town. And when order here I spend a lot of money. The food is always amazing but the supposedly “manager” she was really rude! I never experienced that at this location. Just wanted wanted to get up and leave and take my service else where. But since I drove 30 mins to get there so we decided to stay. I would reconsider management her as management. And I work in customer service for my career. The server on the other hand was amazing.

Excuse me, WHAT?! I was craving sushi while stuck in traffic, so I decided to add this place to my route, and it turned out to be the best choice ever. I ordered the cucumber salad—just your basic salad, but you can never go wrong with it. I also got the Marmol Roll with raw fish, and let me tell you, the balance of fresh fish and spiciness is simply unbeatable! I'm literally in the middle of my meal and had to pause to write this review because I was enjoying it so much. They serve ponzu sauce on the side, and dipping my sushi in that instead of soy sauce made it even more delicious! They have a regular menu, but they also offer an all-you-can-eat option for $28. The menu is a bit surprising since it features a fusion of Japanese and Mexican cuisine, but if you enjoy both, you should definitely check it out!

Ordered through Uber eats. Spicy mayo wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. I’ve tried so many sushi places and this has to be my least favorite. Presentation is nice but the food had no flavor. The shrimp tempura wasn’t good. The California roll had no flavor. The soy sauce packets came opened and spilled in the bag.
