The Tasting Room At Maverick Whiskey

The food and the drinks were incredible! I wish we could say the same thing about our server. we had come for our 5th anniversary and had heard some great things about maverick whisky, but could not help be disappointed about the service we had received. our waiter seemed upset when they waited for us, and it made us feel like we were not welcome at all.

The food was amazing. So that wasn’t an issue. But our server did not know the menu well. Our marmalade was missing from our brioche appetizer and when we asked where it was our server said it didn’t come with it when it clearly stated it on the menu. A little disappointing when you spend almost $300 for 2 people to eat.

The covid menu was wonderful the first 2 visits. I was disappointed in the options offered on the menu. I ordered an appetizer because I didn't dress up and go downtown to eat wild hog. Steaks priced high but I can appreciate the cost of good beef. Seemed like too many game items on the menu. The charcuterie board was awesome the first 2 visits. Very unhappy with this choice this time. The drinks were wonderful. Really impressed with the quality of the alcohol.

This place is a Rare Gem. Service was fantastic, the whiskey superb, and the food was phenomenal. Must try!
