I also had the fish tacos and talk about flavor! The fish was cooked to perfection, and topped with pickled cabbage and salsa. It had just a little kick, and the spice with the pickled cabbage was such a great mix. The atmosphere is very welcoming too. Very open and surrounded by greenery. Definitely recommend.
The first time I ate here, I had their brunch menu items which were delightful. This second around I tried the burrito for lunch. I saw the ingredients and thought it unique to try out. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the sweet potato paired in the burrito. 12/10 would order the burrito again! Staff is also very friendly and attentive
TONY V. WINS THE CAKE for *extra*ordinarily bad, face-to-face service at The Good Kind- despite being closed for the day! Tony raised his voice, spoke over me, and suggested error on my part after I was charged for an online order and waited for 30 minutes in the lot within his view, as instructed by the online service. Would have been good-er to post notice on the website, give notice on the voicemail, and disable online ordering. This regular customer *won’t be back to The Good Kind in case they’re dishing out more of the same. #NotThatGood
Pretty cool spot. Right near downtown San Antonio, but plenty of free parking. Went on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't crowded and lots of covered seating areas. Food was good and drink was strong ? Music was perfect for a Saturday afternoon.Wheelchair accessibility: The majority of the seating is outdoors with small tables and chairs. Chairs can be easily moved around to fit a wheelchair. The ground is gravel, but level so probably easy to roll on.
I enjoy the ambiance of The Good Kind Southtown each time I visit. The atmosphere is beautiful, the gardens are so beautiful and around each and every corner is a picturesque opportunity. The music that is Dj’ed is always a vibe and has a dance worthy beat.I took the opportunity to brunch with my family for Mother’s Day. Parking is a small issue but it’s Southtown and parking wasn’t too far away.We ordered inside, a Turkey Sandwich and a Hot Chicken Sandwich, I ordered French Toast and some Chicken Tenders for my littles. We waited a bit, but it’s expected since it was Mother’s Day. Our time was occupied looking at the garden areas and picking seating and taking pictures, so it went by fast.Food was hot and fresh, all served with a large portion of fries. I was pleasantly surprised of the kid sized portions. 4 large slices of French toast “sticks” just maybe needed one more cup of syrup to dip. But it was good. My Turkey sandwich was so good I think it was definitely the cranberry sauce. My son inhaled his “hot” chicken sandwich it had a very nice flavor. We sat back and played Jenga with the large blocks and took some more pictures. Overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely be returning. Thank you.
