Sushi Express - San Antonio

Update Nov 2022: Sushi Express is the place to buy in Stone Oak for Korean food! Hot stone bibimbop, bulgogi, supplements are on FIRE! And I am a South Korean when a SK lets you know that this Korean restaurant is legit, it's legit!? Great place for sushi and Korean dishes. Stone Bibimbop and Gyoza soup! Gratitude!

They are our way to Korean food and sushi place. We've been here for years. The owners are very nice and very friendly, they also make excellent food! Only the complaint is the high turnover of employees so that you can either have an experienced server or someone who is a bit lost when you serve. It's never been enough to stop us from coming back.

Important note: This is a Korean and Japanese restaurant, not just a sushi restaurant. The name can be misleading or let some think they only serve sushi. On Saturday evening came to dinner and it was not crowded, so was immediately sat. Olivia immediately came to drink and appetizers. She did a great job all night. For appetizers the Tornado Potato, Tempura Sampler ordered. Shells and Yellow Tailsushi. The food was brought out as they were ready, so between 5 and minutes for everyone. Everything was good, but my favorite was the simplest dish of Tornado Potato. Had a nice tie and only tasted with the salt. Sushi was a beautiful cut of fresh yellow dick. The Tempura Sampler had a few undercooked items that leave the vegetables a little hard. The shells were good, but the toppings exaggerated the shells taste. For the meal, the Galbi-Tang and Spicy ordered Squid. Both dishes were very good. I prefer the soup, but both were good. Galbi-Tang contained large pieces of short ribs and the broth was perfect. The Spicy Squid had good pieces of Squid mixed in a spicy base with other vegetables. For dessert, finished with the banana tempura, the bananas fried in tempura battery with a fruit puree and chocolate sauce served with a vanilla ice bucket. It wasn't too heavy or too sweet. Overall good Korean food with some Japanese dishes and good service.

Terrible experience! Wait 50 minutes to find out if I had not asked for my order, obviously they skipped it. Not to mention, I made it clear that I was pregnant, and at least I needed something out, and they let us sit there with water. When I asked about 50 minutes of waiting for the manager, and several people who came after us were served before us. The woman who was the very unprofessional manager tells me I have to wait to talk to her. She lets me wait 8-10 minutes to talk to her. Then the order will finally be brought out, no accommodation for all the mistakes made by THEM! absolutely nothing and before I hardly began to eat, the bill was brought immediately. It would have been nice if they had brought the food out as fast as the bill. Very unprofessional and absolutely unacceptable to never eat here again.

I've eaten all over the country but never have I had such delicious food. This is a rare gem. You must try the Bulgogi!!! It will blow your mind.
