Red Lobster - San Antonio

On this day, the restaurant was under staffed. With that said, they were seating a limited number of tables, so the wait was longer than usual. We decided to wait it out and I'm glad we did. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The manager came around to apologize for the wait. That was nice and professional. Everyone was very attentive and working as a team. Our food came out quickly and like I said was hot and fresh.

I had not been to Red Lobster in quite awhile and did not know they had changed their menu. What my husband and I usually order was no longer available. Well at this point, I had a gift card to use, so leaving was not an option. We tried the new flatbread pizza and neither of us were impressed. It is not nearly as good as the Lobster pizza we used to get. Also the Lobster bisque was no longer on the menu, and the New England clam chowder that we tried was not very good. The biscuits are still pretty good and the mixed drinks we had were great. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and the atmosphere is always upbeat and cheerful. I'm pretty sure we will not be going back since the menu change took away the only things we liked.

My partner and I decided to have a nostalgic date night at Red Lobster, mainly for their famous cheddar biscuits. We both chose the all-you-can-eat shrimp option for $25, which turned out to be a great deal. We ended up receiving more shrimp than we could handle without even needing to ask for seconds. The shrimp was tasty and the service was excellent.

I had never visited Red Lobster before. The food was excellent and the portions were large. There were many appetizing options on the menu. Richard was my server and he was courteous and attentive. There was plenty of parking available. The interior had a lovely Cape Cod ambiance. I definitely plan on returning in the future.

I was surprised to see how much Red Lobster has declined. The server started off well but quickly lost interest in us. The menu is old-fashioned, the food was mediocre, and we had to request basic items that should have come with our meal. The restaurant was untidy, with dirty tables and an unclean restroom. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you're craving lobster.
