Their all-meat barbacoa wrapped in freshly made tortillas puts a smile on my girlfriend’s face (I call her Chipmunk, which makes me smile too). They always have cold 2-liter bottles of BIG RED available, which is how we locals enjoy all the deliciousness from Pila’s Molino. The West Side of San Antonio wouldn’t be the same without Pila’s Molino. Stop by and you'll be treated like family... just tell them Nene sent you! (Sorry, no pictures— the food disappears too fast to snap any!
This is our go-to place for barbacoa and tamales. It's simply the best!
The barbacoa was excessively greasy and had a different taste compared to what is typically offered at other molinos. I won't be coming back.
I was there visiting just recently. The food is good but the place looks a little run down. While I was in line waiting being observant I saw an employee making masa while cleaning his ear, no gloves, in flip flops and no hairnets are worn but he also look dirty. I wondered if he's had his food handling class completed. The masa also wasn't very good. I just had more issues with the cleanliness of the employees and the actual place. I think they should have a food inspector drop by it's much needed. Outside looks very busy with a dirty shop going on. Food was good tho.
Very nice and did things well in good time. I've been there a few times before. They are great
