Panda Inn - San Antonio

During a recent trip to San Antonio, we decided to dine at Panda Inn. In the past, Panda Inn was one of the best Chinese restaurants in San Antonio. However, at the moment, it is one of the worst places to eat! Let me tell you, we only ordered lemon chicken and found that the sauce was watery and tasteless. When we brought this up, the older lady (possibly the owner) did not provide us with the ingredients used to thicken the sauce, stating that they now use a different recipe. When we asked for a different sauce, it was also terrible. To add insult to injury, we ordered soup and found the noodles to be mushy (possibly from sitting in the liquid too long) and the broth to be cold and tasting like salt and water. We paid for this terrible meal and left knowing that the owners of Panda Inn no longer prioritize customer satisfaction. They only seem concerned about their profits.

I didn't even give a star, but I had to. that was fat. there were sprouts in fried rice. the sweet and acidic huh was terrible, the huh was in patty form, tasted old and the sauce had absolutely no taste. I spent $75 for Chinese food for 7 people and we ordered many different dishes. they all saw the same, tasted the same and was terrible without taste except the main ingredient that was fat, and I ordered the fried pot stickers and got the steamed. I ordered cream cheese and spinat rangoons and they were even fat, the cream cheese separated and had fake crumb meat in them, but the fact was not listed on the menu. you save money!

I always enjoy dining at this restaurant. The portions are very generous and you get a lot of delicious food for a great price. I typically visit in the evening to avoid the lunchtime rush when it can get very busy. The three times joy dish is a must-try, with flavorful meats and perfectly cooked shrimp, broccoli, and rice.

I am so sad that I have to write this review because I really liked this restaurant. the food proportions are large and their prices are fairly low. the service is not amusing, but that's why I don't give them a star. when my man and I finished our meal, a small black cockroach crawled directly at the table. it wasn't a brown Texas-water-roachie, it was a black German rach. they must have a serious infestation so that a baby crawls on the table where we sat. we paid and went immediately. I hope they see this and deal with the problem soon.

I took advantage of the Grubhub delivery for the short period of time that Panda Inn used them. I would continue to buy from them if delivery was reinstated. It was a great and convenient way to get great food to my home.
