First and foremost, the five stars is a culmination of the service and food. While the prices were a tad steep, the food was delicious and our server (I forgot his name unfortunately) was super attentive and polite; he was very attentive to our table despite the crowd. That being said, all the food was hot and fresh. The stand out was the carne guisada my fiancé ordered and the fajitas on my sampler plate. Even the tamale that came with my meal was delicious. This is definitely a place where you can catch up with friends and family or even a location to enjoy the atmosphere and local culture.
If you have a short break and want good lunch specials, check this place out! It was very busy but the staff didn’t make you feel like it. No waiting for a table, the food was delicious and hot! Very quick turnaround! Javier Ortega was our waiter and anticipated our every need and kept our waters full, chips and salsa full and very friendly! Javier made this experience so worth it and we were so pleased to be seated in his section! Will eat here again!!!
This restaurant, located in the touristic Market Square, pleasantly surprised me. I was expecting it to be a tourist trap: low quality and high prices, but it turned out to be the opposite. La Margarita is owned by a Mexican family with a long history in the restaurant industry (they are also the owners and founders of the restaurant Mi Tierra), and their mission is to offer the best possible experience to their customers. The restaurant has a festive atmosphere, with decorations of garlands, piñatas, and lanterns. But when it comes to serving tables, the staff is attentive and professional. They also have a terrace for outdoor dining, right in the heart of Market Square. The food is prepared with care, and it shows in the flavor of their dishes. I tried the mixed gril, and it tasted like Mexico. I think that's the best thing you can say about a Mexican restaurant! As for drinks, the margarita is the house specialty, and among all the varieties they offer, the orange one receives the most praise.
The Lenten special at this restaurant is a great deal. However, the outside smoking section located near the front door creates an unpleasant experience when entering and exiting. The salsa served here is not very good, similar to the salsa at Mi Tierra's, tasting more like fancy ketchup. On a positive note, the seafood Chile relleno dish is excellent. Overall, the restaurant has a slight smell of cleaner.
