While they don’t have turtle races on Thursdays, the atmosphere is still enjoyable. It’s a great spot to hang out with friends, play some outdoor games, and have conversations. The other venue is a lot of fun, with a lively party vibe and racing events, but sometimes it can be too noisy to really connect with someone. The quality of food was good, and the staff was friendly. Plus, it’s conveniently located near home. I’ll definitely be back!
I don't visit this restaurant frequently, but the staff is always friendly and attentive. I keep coming back because the atmosphere is vibrant and fun! The service was outstanding, and the bartenders, Lucy, Camille, and Sarah, were amazing! Even though they were extremely busy, they remained incredibly attentive.
Twenty minutes later, half of our food arrived: a quesadilla with chips and salsa. We asked for a cup of water, and upon receiving it, we noticed that the rim had old lipstick and tajín on it. When we pointed out the dirty glass, the bartender didn't apologize and acted like it was a common issue. Twenty minutes after that, she passed by and realized the other half of our order was still missing. She brought it out 30 seconds later because it had been sitting in the window. We received our sandwich and fried pickles, which were unsurprisingly cold. After that, she never checked in on us, so we had to flag her down to ask for our check. Again, she disappeared, and we had to ask another bartender for it. When we finally received the check, we noticed that she hadn’t substituted the queso for salsa as we had requested. When I brought this up, she said it didn't matter because both items were the same price. However, the menu clearly states that queso is $8 and salsa is $5. She claimed the menu was wrong and that they had recently changed it, but if there was a change, she should have communicated that. As people who work in the service industry, we understand that mistakes happen. However, the lack of effort, service, and communication made for a very disappointing experience. It felt as though she didn’t care about serving us at all.
This place is racist against latinos. I asked for ONE song to the DJ, Los Angels Azul. Despite the DJ being hispanic, he refused. He said, I'll play cumbias at midnight, but it was around 9:00 pm which meant a 3 hour wait. After much begging, he promised to play my one song at ten. At 10 pm he played something else. I complained to TRAVIS, the manager, who looked down at me and said, I can't force him to play anything, and walked away. While they have the right to play whatever they want and deny my one song request, I have the right to take my money elsewhere. People, take your hard earned money where you are celebrated, not tolerated. In contrast, Free Tail bar on 1604 has a wonderful manager who even comes to your table and asks if you need anything, he even chats with you and makes you feel welcomed. Also, take a cruise, the DJs there can't wait to play your requests and make everyone happy.
Little Woodrows has literally everything you want in a bar. Like if you're in the mood for a club scene, you'll feel it. Play darts and skee ball? You can. Catch a sports game? It's on. Tasty food? They've got that too. They have a good outdoor space where pups are welcomed. They have garage doors inside that I'm assuming at some point open up to the outside during less hot months. DJ was located in the corner and if you're above 30yr you might have wanted him to turn down the music a tad lol The loaded fries were damn good and please do yourself a favor and get the chicharrones and yes you'll need to share them, such a huge order. Tasty beer on tap too.
