Las Palapas Leon Springs - San Antonio

We came to this location for lunch. I had the flautas and a frozen strawberry margarita, both were pretty decent. My only complaint about the margarita is the salt on the rim tasted like table salt. My boyfriend had the beef enchiladas and a traditional margarita, said it mostly tasted like sweet and sour. Would have put 5 stars but we were told we were not allowed to sit at the bar, but 10 minutes later 5 men that walked in were allowed to.

Went in today around 1:18 and the lady with the short pixie white hair was rude. No eye contact every time and gave me side eye just for asking for extra salsa. Even the girl who handed me my food was mad. No greetings or anything nice in terms of customer service from this team. Only good thing was the food came out incredibly.

Each time I return to this restaurant, I question my decision to give it another chance. They prepared my son's takeout nachos using a styrofoam cup because I requested the vegetables on the side, which isn't very healthy. I even brought in photos to show the manager, but instead of addressing my concerns, he argued with me. We went back and forth endlessly about how there was nothing wrong, even after I pointed out the burnt and stale chips. Overall, the food was poor quality, the service was lacking, and the management was unhelpful.

I really enjoy this Las Palapas location! The restaurant is quite spacious, and the outdoor patio is really lovely. The large bar is a great addition, providing a wide variety of drink options. During my visit, they were serving Fiesta food items that I absolutely love...lol. The chicken on a stick, sausage on a stick, and nachos were all delicious. My friend also mentioned that his breakfast taco was very tasty. The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic drive-thru service! I was in town and hadn't had sopapillas since the pandemic. Las Palapas really makes the best sopapillas! They prepared them perfectly and generously dusted them with powdered sugar and cinnamon. The coffee was excellent as well!
