La Frite Belgian Bistro - San Antonio

I visit this restaurant every Tuesday, so if you decide to go, I might just see you there! The place is fantastic. They serve amazing steak—I'd go as far as to say it's the best in San Antonio and a great value for your money. Even when compared to upscale restaurants, La Frite ranks at the top. The selection of Belgian beers is superb, and the service is both friendly and efficient, just what you'd expect from a European-style restaurant that’s offering an incredible dining experience at a reasonable price. I highly recommend you stop by and give it a try. There's no need to rush; you'll really enjoy it. And if you visit on a Tuesday, make sure to say hello!

Great place to eat! Prices aren’t reasonable and the food is great. Attention and atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Would definitely come here again if I’m in the area— a hidden gem.

For was great, my mom loved how authentic it was. Only negative was the chocolate mousse wasn't mousse, it was just chocolate puddingish but we'll definitely be back.

One of, if not, my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. I may be a bit biased because my wife and I visited some friends in Belgium a few years ago and fell in love with the bier and food. Every time we go here it reminds us of our trip. Whether you’ve been to Belgium or not, this place is excellent. The Mussels (Bavarian w/bleu cheese…Pesto… , frites, beer, and other food has always been top notch. We have had exceptional service at La Frite and I will never forget the time we came here for our anniversary a few years ago without a reservation. This place is small, cozy, warm and inviting. We walked in and the wait was pretty long and it was not looking like we were going to be able to enjoy our anniversary here. We mentioned it to the person taking our name. They could have told us, “I’m sorry, but make a reservation next time”, which would have been an understandable and expected response. Did they say that? No they pointed to a small area at the end of the bar/register area and said we could make a table for you here if you don’t mind sitting here. We happily accepted and had a wonderful anniversary. We now make a reservation any time we go!

They are very accommodating. We came late and they stayed to make sure we got all these yummies they have on a menu. Their Onion Tart is out of this world. Escargots go perfect with champagne. Chicken'n'shroom crepe is a good value feels more than just a small plate with all these wonderful veggies it comes with. This place is the best Belgian and French(! in San Antonio.
