Unfortunately, the restaurant was quite cold, which really affected our overall experience, even though the food was decent. We ordered the chicken fajitas for two, and there was way more food than we could handle. However, there were only five tortillas, which seemed insufficient for the amount of filling. Given the many outstanding options for Mexican cuisine in San Antonio, we likely won't be returning.
The dining experience was disappointing. Several dishes we ordered did not meet expectations. It was particularly disheartening since this was our first visit to the Dominion location after years at the Vance Jackson location.
The outdoor dining area is fantastic, especially when the weather permits. The food was incredibly delicious!
The patio was very nice and the waitress was very good. However the drinks (beer margarita and a Pina colada) were way over priced and contained very little (if any alcohol). The food was good, but the dish with the shrimp, chicken, beef and grilled veggie skewer was WAY over priced for what it had on it.
My wife and I both ordered a Margarita, which were delicious and refreshing. I ordered the Tacos Mortensen and my wife had the Huachinango In Epazote &Garlic Sauce. Everything was very good, good flavor and basically just good Mexican food. For dessert I ordered the La Fogata Empanadas and my wife had the Churros with Chocolate sauce. I was impressed with the Empanadas, it was warm and the filling was very good.
