Ihop - San Antonio

We had a fantastic time hosting a small gathering with around 12 people at IHOP. A big thank you to the staff for their excellent service! I ordered the spinach omelette, and it was delightful—made with fresh spinach and mushrooms. The vegetables were incredibly fresh, and overall, it was one of the best omelettes I've had.

Service was fast, even with a new hire as our waitress. She was attentive and nice as well as her trainer. Would definitely go back to this location.

I ordered the chicken tenders n waffle and a piece of French toast. The tenders were over done and did not seem fresh. Could just be the breading but they were still overdone. Ihops always are way too freezing!!! You have to take a blanket in. Service was ok. Could have been better. He had a limp or something. He tried though but overall I felt like he really just didn't want to be there or really want to be bothered. He wasn't the most patient and when I told him I just needed a cpl minutes to decide what to order, he actually took btn 10 n 15 minutes to come back. I let it go though, since I was on the phone. It was very slow there and while I was waiting for him to come back, I noticed at one point, it seemed like he was on his phone for awhile. Overall though, it's ihop in the middle of the night. It is what it is. I'm also a server so I still tipped 20%.

This is an IHOP that is very conveniently located between 4 or 5 hotels. Making it a really good spot to eat while you are staying at the motels near by. The issue with this place is that the staff tries to be courteous but I am not sure if corporate is not giving them the right information when it comes to their reward points. It has been difficult to actually redeem points and get points for my account. We were dismissed and told to come back. Staff is okay. Food is pretty good.
