Henry's Mexican - San Antonio

I’ve been on a mission to find the best carne guisada taco in San Antonio, visiting 14 different recommended Mexican restaurants so far. I plan to try around 41 places in total. So far, Henry’s stands out as the best taco I’ve tasted. I rate carne guisada tacos based on a 5-star system that considers tortilla flavor, tenderness, and gristle content. I’ve tried Henry’s three times, and they’ve earned an impressive score of 4.9. Ajuua!

The puffy tacos are amazing! Everything here is great, including the coffee.

Nelly (I hope I got that right) provides wonderful service and seems to always be in a great mood which is refreshing as well as inspiring, especially now a days. Best Carne Guisada I've had in a while. Soon as I saw it, I just knew it was going to make my day ten times better.

My first visit, was driving by. On my first visits to mex or texmex restaurants I order chorizo and egg tacos. Always. Did have a longer than expected wait; but, not bad. For the brand of chorizo they use, the tacos were pretty good. Is there better elsewhere? Yes and of course no. Good job!

Family owned and operated. The food is always on point. Always the same great taste and same great service. Keep up the good work.
