Unfortunately, the food truck was located on the other side of town and we never made it over there. Imagine our excitement when we heard that they had moved to a Brick and Mortar location inside Weathering Souls Brewing, which was much more convenient for us to finally try those delicious sandwiches we had seen on the show! We arrived late for breakfast and brunch (it was noon) so we decided to go for lunch instead. It's important to note that the brewery only serves craft beers and no liquor, so our drink options were limited. The menu was extremely limited as well, so we both ordered the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. While waiting for our food, we took in the clean and spacious surroundings of the brewery. Unfortunately, when we finally received our food, we were both disappointed. The sandwich was incredibly salty to the point where we couldn't take more than one bite. Even though we were hungry, we couldn't bring ourselves to finish the meal. We had high hopes for a hidden gem, but we left feeling extremely let down. This experience is definitely not one we will be repeating. I wanted to give a positive review, but based on our experience, I can only give it 1 star. If you enjoy craft beer, this might be a great spot for you to visit, as the atmosphere was pleasant.
Last night, we visited Somerset to try their famous steak and cheese sandwiches. We ordered 5 of them, which cost a high $75.00. We placed our order at 6:15pm but didn't receive it until 8:30pm, which was ridiculously long. When we finally opened our order, none of the cheese steaks were made correctly. The bread was extremely soggy, making it impossible to pick up. The steak was burnt and had a terrible taste, making it the worst sandwich we've ever had. We ended up having to throw out all the subs because they tasted so bad.
The food and service were excellent at this restaurant, and my husband really enjoyed it which made me very happy. I would definitely come back here again.
I REALLY wanted to love this place... Got there just after they opened and there was a line of 5 people. The ladies inside the truck were rocking out, bringing the high energy. I figured the line would go quickly alas I was wrong. They seemed like maybe they were having some technical difficulties with the card reader, averaging 5 minutes to take and ring up an order. I ordered 2 cheesesteaks, both with wiz, one with peppers and one with spinach and mushrooms. Add a gremlin and I was at 56, before tip. At this point I am already 40 minutes deep. Estimate was 15 minutes, which I felt was reasonable. They text you when your order is up, which is nice so you can wait in your car. A little over 30 minutes later and my order was up. Woohoo! The quality of the ingredients were undeniable, everything was fresh and flavorful, cooked as the order is placed. The sandwiches are gigantic, easily enough to split between two people. TIPS 1 Go for the whiz, it 's worth the upcharge. 2 Splurge for the Gremlin. 3 Don 't try and just swing by on your lunch, you will become invested and will NEVER make it back on time. Unless your boss is with you and then it is likely all will be forgiven at first bite. 4 At 2 a pop, skip the extras... While the long hots on one and garlic spinach mushrooms on the other were good, the steak/onion/whiz combo was enough on its own. Save your and get a Gremlin. Will I go back? More than likely. But I wont be going around lunch, and I will be sticking to a basic steak and cheese, upgrade to whiz.
The meat quality was good and the bread was soft. Other than that, the sandwich was kinda bland. Not worth the price in my opinion. Plus they need some decent sides like french fries or onion rings.
