Nakamura Sushi House - San Angelo

As always, the food was outstanding. Our server, Mary, was very attentive and communicated wonderfully with us. I really hope she’s there when we visit again.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The fish is incredibly fresh, and no matter what you order, they always serve generous portions. The sushi rolls are large and packed with high-quality ingredients. While it’s a bit on the pricey side, it’s definitely worth it for the fresh fish and sushi – I wish I could eat there every day! The service was friendly, and you can really tell the chef takes pride in his work during our interaction. I highly recommend this place! Personally, I’m a fan of the chicken teriyaki, and if you’re a sashimi lover, you have to try the chirashi bowl. I can’t wait to go back!

I give this restaurant 3 stars primarily because the food was quite good. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed very inexperienced. I found myself needing to flag down the server multiple times just to get more water, napkins, and a fork. The service was slow, and I noticed that she spent quite a bit of time just staring at the TV. Additionally, be aware that there's a service fee if you pay by card. It's a shame, as I won’t be returning, despite the fact that the food was genuinely enjoyable.

I went here at 6:00 a.m. with my girlfriend and as soon as we walked into no one, I greeted us about 5 minutes, although there is waiting for employees to do nothing. After we sat down for 10 minutes, we were finally asked what we wanted to drink, and we decided to order there because it would have been a while before we got the chance to order. A woman at a table in front of us was there with 3 children and tried to watch a waitress on her cheque for 30 minutes. During these 30 minutes we waited for our miso soup that never came because the waiter simply forgets. Our food came after 45 minutes (understood for a sushi restaurant) and was absolutely amazing. It is a service to the chef for the restaurant to have such terrible waiters. We will not return to this restaurant.

Hands down, the best sushi spot in San Angelo. The outward appearance of the restaurant doesn 't make you thing think excellent sushi but don 't let that throw you. The miso soup is my favorite starter and I cannot say enough good things about the staff. I ordered a plate so I could try a few different rolls this time. At first, I was disappointed to see the Veggie roll but THAT was amazing too! Anytime friends and family come to town, I bring them here. It 's a great place to have a conversation and make good memories.
