Turquoise Grill - San Antonio

There isn't much to say about this restaurant. The atmosphere was quiet. The food was outstanding. Unfortunately, my kids did not enjoy their meals. The calamari I ordered was greasy and disappointing. The service was slow, with only one waitress struggling to attend to all the tables. I didn't see what all the hype was about, I definitely won't be returning. It just wasn't my type of place.

The food is flavorful and fresh! I shared the Lebni and Mixed grill with my bff and it was definitely enough. They also served bread and oil to start which was equally amazing.

We were greeted almost immediately and went to a stand. The server sat at a stand that had a dirty table. Another server came to our table to take our drinks order and I ordered an Arnold Palmer. I could say that the server didn't know what I was talking about, but she asked me to leave it alone. 5 minutes later, she came back and told me they didn't have my drink. I told her what it was and told her that I had just read on the menu that they had eaten tea lemonade. She brought our drinks and continued to avoid our table for the next 15 minutes. There were only 3 other tables in the restaurant and the server that sat us had two of them. There was no reason she didn't come to our table. She hurried several times and never said a word. After I was there in a total of 20 minutes, I had to stop her and tell her that we left because her lack of service was unacceptable. I couldn't believe how shocked she looked. I can't believe someone would eat there.

The staff was very attentive to the moment we were at the end of our visit, we wanted for free. We celebrated our 46th wedding party. We shared our waitress who we met 50 years ago in Izmir Turkey. She gave us a salad and dessert. The food was as we remember when we were in Turkey. We would get the Turquoise Grill back and will return soon!

Very good food! Bread was very good and meals were delicious. The coffee after that was perfect. We're coming back!
