The Brigantine Restaurants

The restaurant is situated right over the bay and is excellent for both indoor and outdoor seating. Be prepared for a long wait as it is buzzing. The food here is excellent and I would definitely recommend the seafood. The service is attentive and prompt. You can't go wrong here.

I went there to celebrate with my co-sisters for my birthday and we were so graciously treated with so much kindness! The manager John Lee was so attentive to us and he even offered us free dessert since we were celebrating and it brought sunshine on such a gloomy San Diego day! I definitely recommend this restaurant and location! You will not be disappointed with the views and service! Shout out to John Lee! Supreme service!!

Brigantine Restaurant San Diego, CAOn Our way back to Carlsbad from a day in San Diego, I know there is an anchorman innuendo that could be use, but please let's not be crass. We stopped at this place that looked upscale but not overly pretentious that little to our knowledge before walking in stood looking over a horse racetrack. Specials were happening and like any savings conscious shopper would, we would be partaking in them. The Martinis were five dollars and most of the food was cheap for the quality we were getting. Fresh shucked oysters, nicely dressed oysters, fried fish, and sliders became our meal for the night with each one providing sustenance that we felt was enough for the day we had just come from. A few martinis later, some sliders gone, and the oysters being slurped up at a rate that we found to be alright we left feeling satisfied with the little gem that we had not known before to become a spot of comfort on our journey shall we go back.The hot sauce was amazing and should be bottled immediately.

Love this place! When you experience great service and food, doesn't get any better. Having good company tops it off. Of course you don't need anyone else with you to enjoy yourself here. But it's one of the best things in life, to share a moment. Ambience here is beautiful. Love the indoor/outdoor vibe. Haven't had a chance to see the rooftop deck but being in the harbor, I'm sure it's quite a view during sunset. We ordered the seafood sampler and scallops to share with friends. It's nice that they don't eat much either. Scallops had a nice caramelized layer on both sides which was done beautifully. Seafood tray... well.. we almost ordered a second one. Was pretty stellar and fresh. At this point in life, it's about the quality and not quantity. We brought our own bottle so the visitors can sample some flavors of Napa wine. Great seafood, great service, great vibe... can't wait to visit again.

We are here for the first time today. The place is hidden among businesses and the restaurant sign says Ketch . There is a parking lot next to the restaurant in the back. We were pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Freddy went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. We would definitely come back here. We ordered the following: Salmon Sandwich 5/5* ordered blackened with house chips. The fish was cooked perfectly. The chips were excellent and not oily like others house made chips I 've had. Swordfish Tacos 5/5* ordered with house cut fat fries. The fish was cooked to perfection. The fries were seasoned well and the right amount of crispy for me. Chocolate Chip Cookies 5/5* Came as complimentary with the meals.
