The crowd cleared out about 35 mins later when we were able to get a table. Order was incorrect . Food was good- not great. This is about price value. If you are ok to wait or have not great service, food is good. Waitress was super nice, but bummer as this dinner was for Valentine's Day.
The food was good. Restaurant was small and they do get busy. I got their special- black garlic Tonkatsu ramen, the noodles were good since it wasn't your typical packaged ramen noodles but the soup base was kinda bland to me. The only bad thing, is they only have 1 waitress doing everything.
In all fairness, the food at Takara Ramen was decent. The server was friendly. Parking was easy. I really had no complaints until the end of our meal. First of all, I was told that I could not use my $100 Opentable check to pay for our $150 meal. Why? Because they 've never seen it before and they don 't know how to use it . That 's funny. How does a restaurant on Opentable, who let me make my reservation through Opentable, not accept Opentable dining checks? But I understand they probably just weren 't trained how to process an OT check. Fine. But then the server kept making a big deal about, and even had the chef come out and explain (again) that they couldn 't take the OT check after I had repeatedly told them that it was OK and to just go ahead and place the entire amount on my card. On top of that situation leaving a sour first impression on me, I still have not received my dining points. Double fail.
My husband and I originally tried to go for dinner but time wasn't available so we went during lunch time which was great. Empty when we got there and restaurant is small. Food was pretty good and reasonably priced. We finished lunch with fried cream.
Nice to have a good ramen shop without lines. So close to home, consistently hits the spot
