There are black beans and rice with one side of Plantains and an avocado. If you want that, it's really good, but not organic, and it's something I can do at home. That said: Before pandemic I always enjoy roasting the two hours long line and eating meat friends.
With a dislike to snakes, we arrived 15 minutes before 9:00 to hit the weekend. The place is slightly filled with the time when we had our dessert. The Sopa de Lentejas or lens soup Spanish lenses, pumpkin, green Plantain fresh Zilantro was good. It came with a side of thin bread that we with avocado from the Vegetariano combination plate topped. This combination plate had rice, black beans, green and yes, avocado. It came with a side of savory and sweet plantains. I never really eat rice with only black beans, so I was surprised to find the beans full of taste that it actually worked with rice. The fried green plantain, which is fried again, crushed and fried, is called Tostones con Mojo. I wasn't a fan of it because the texture was too hard. Maybe it was overcrowded? The sweet Plantain or the Maduros was perfect. We also had the other Vegetariano plate, this time with the pink beans brewed with herbs and Spanish olives, French fries on the side. The beans were also good, and the fries were fresh. The Te Helado, or mango iced tea, had a light, fresh and fine floral/fruity scent. I usually don't order sweet drinks because of the sugar, but I made this an exception. The concoction was perfectly balanced clean and crisp, not too sweet, and very refreshing to the palate. Not to miss is the only vegan dessert, the Tembleque. This inconceivable creamy coconut pudding with mango sauce (or cinnamon) was a surprise hit. So glad I ordered it. You pay the counter, get your number and sit down. Portions are generous. The food and the bathrooms are clean. I have to say that, although something too loud, I guess they play music that matches the theme and the kitchen. Most of the facilities today play everything so much so that you can be in any restaurant so that it does not make the culinary experience special.
The vegetarian combination is a good part and super tasty. You can choose your type or beans and plantains. If you should also go get the ponche, it is their homemade lemonade and mango ice tea mixed together.
Your Vegetariano plate is vegan, nutritious and super delicious! We could eat it again and again. Your veggie deluxe sandwich is also quite good, but it contains cheese, so not for vegans.
Amazing vegan options. Favorite place to eat in Marin County. Every time I’m up there I eat at Sol Food. The vegan plate is amazing. Plantains are delicious the rice is tasty and the beans are flavorful. You have to put the pique on it, it makes everything even better! The lentil soup was fantastic. The staff is friendly too! I will continue to go here.
