La Gran Terraza University of San Diego

We waited almost an hour for someone to take our order after we had informed someone we were ready. The order was incorrect and missed items. We haven't been checked. The food is not good.

First, being on such a well-preserved and flowery beautiful campus is unforgettable. Secondly, La Gran Terraza has such a beautiful layout both inside and outside. When the nice hostess asked if we would prefer indoor or terrace, I hesitated as usual, terraces are usually more casual... nevertheless, this is to some extent due to chairs and tables, but... the terrace tables were with white linen tablecloths and cloth napkins... which only makes my day. I'm sorry, but I'm a fan of fabric napkins and bed linen for every food. I'm doing some extra laundry, just for this purpose. We all have quirks... somehow, we go to the menu.... yes, I should start with it. Lobster Bisque? Yes! But his close summer, so I had the Caesar salad that was perfect in size and had no jokes, perfectly crispy crawls... and my friend and I ordered the lamb with Chimchurri sauce... Holy rosemary, the baby was loaded. Perfect ribs. Perfectly cooked... soft center, perfect lamb I've ever had since New Zealand! The Granger Steak must have been a tender?? Of course, I ordered it medium rare and the three great medallions were exquisite pink decorated by perfectly lightly carburized crust....omg...yum! We didn't choose dessert... and iced tea was refilled on time like the water three times. Great service, phenomenal food. Perfect lunch. Thank you.

Unfortunately, the services of this restaurant are very bad. My husband makes a reservation to celebrate Valentine's Day. We came to the table at 6:30 and it was 7:00 and not the body came to serve us.

A wonderful hidden gem on campus with a beautiful view from the main dining room. They are best at one of the special events and I hope they will return the lunch buffet.

Beautiful location great service and excellent prices. Location has a view of the bay a super place for a delicious well prepared lunch or dinner. Our salads were perfect
