Overall, I would not go back, especially because it is not worth a good one. they improve their game in consideration so many other options for good pasta in sf.
Delfina back in action w beautiful remodel. exciting new menu with some old faves like insalata di campo and monterey squid. even excellent service and first-class food make for a wonderful evening.
We love that you reopened and now have a full bar. I’m unclear how you all managed a full liquor license but Woohoo! Will the pork chop come back on the menu? The noise level is quite high, wondering is that can be toned down at all.
Honestly, I was disappointed at the new Delfina. It's a restaurant that I always loved and was very excited about it reopening. The decor is not at all giving any kind of Italian vibe (even a modern one . Instead, it's got an austere 70s sort of look and feels too bright and cold. It's also very loud. The saving grace is that the food was very good and the wine list is interesting. We had the winter squash Sformato (yum , the Insalata di Campo (great salad! and two different pastas including the Ragu Nostrano (very good . We also very much enjoyed the tiramisu for dessert. Found the service inconsistent with a couple of friendly folks and one who seemed a bit put out to have to answer questions. I will try it again but if the experience is the same, probably won't go back.
It was great, back in a newly renovated and expanded delfina with a full bar that served excellent drinks. Our server has been among the few there for 25 years and he knew his job. only the output was at 9 o'clock from calamari and ochsen tails. disarmed eggs and ducks were excellent
